Services
Whether taking measures to ensure their facilities run right or ensuring they're properly repaired when things go wrong, HRI clients frequently list our comprehensive services and reputation for second-to-none quality work as reasons they continue to call us for all their needs. The following service areas give an overview of work we can perform for facilities in virtually any industry.
Consultations
We can offer detailed on-site analysis and expert advice in the form of consultations, in both preventive and emergency situations. Visit the
consulting area of our site to learn more about these services.
Inspections
HRI inspections provide invaluable field data that helps you keep an eye on facility problem areas and make informed decisions on necessary repairs and maintenance. Our commonly requested inspection services include:
Non-destructive testing (NDT). Using sound waves, we isolate hot spots in various pieces of equipment and determine their severity. After locating hot spots, we can perform risk assessments to aid in long-term maintenance planning or immediate repair decisions.
Videotaped inspections in immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) situations and otherwise hazardous atmospheres. Watch video feeds of inspections in real time and communicate with HRI workers performing the inspection to direct them around equipment and various areas you'd like to see and investigate for yourself.
Corrosion mapping and hot TOFD capabilities on lines and vessels that exceed 750°F.
Maintenance

HRI can perform scheduled repairs on most any piece of equipment throughout your facility. We've worked on units across the board in the oil refining, electric power generation, steel, mining, and pulp paper industries for years and have just about seen and repaired it all. For a look at units HRI commonly maintains and repairs in those fields, visit the
industries area of our site.
Maintenance can be scheduled during upcoming turnarounds, between turnaround periods on a set schedule, or on an as-needed basis. Whether or not units will be capable of running at full capacity during maintenance will be determined on a situation by situation basis, but most often HRI technicians can make repairs, replacements and upgrades while equipment continues to operate at full or slightly reduced rates.
Our maintenance services can also be combined with inspection and consultation services, which ensures the same qualified team of technicians are servicing your plant year-round.
Emergency Repairs
Turnarounds, inspections, and as-needed maintenance all work together in an attempt to avoid the worst-case scenario: a major equipment malfunction that requires a huge decrease in operating capacity or complete facility power-down to make major repairs. However, emergencies are simply unavoidable at times. In those situations when you need repairs done safely, done right, and done
fast, call HRI.
For years, HRI has been known as the company to call when facilities need high-temperature, hazardous-conditions, on-line emergency repairs. Our patented personal protective equipment (PPE) allows our highly trained teams of technicians to slip inside areas of your facility and perform on-line repairs you might not have even dreamed possible. The protective system's audio and video monitoring capabilities and emergency extraction system also allow technicians to make repairs safely and efficiently, while you remain operating at optimum capacities.
HRI technicians will always perform a job safety analysis (JSA) evaluation to ensure our workers can complete the requested repairs safely. We consider the maximum temperatures and pressures in the repair area, check engineering controls, and write a detailed emergency plan before setting foot in any extreme situation. JSA is an essential step in a successful repair when we're slipping into confined spaces with noxious gases and 500-degree heat — or working in open spaces that are nearing 1400°F.
HRI is also prepared to handle emergency situations, day and night. We have large, experienced crews on-call and ready to deploy 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
